May 2011 Resort News The beginning of May brought incredible warm weather in the 70’s & 80’s! The outdoor pool is now open and ready for use much to the enjoyment of our resort owners & guests, thanks to the Activity Center Maintenance crew. Groundskeeping has been working diligently on the landscaping of the Activity Center and front entrance. It's looking great! Refurbishments are well under way at the resort with approximately 12 - 13 condos being updated in 2011. Eight condominiums will receive complete refurbishments while the remaining will receive partial renovations with necessary updates. April 2011 Resort News The Resort Easter Party was a huge success! With a total of 18 participating children plus accompanying parents/guardians we had a blast. Multiple tables of activities including Cheetos carrots, bunny ears, foam easter eggs, friendship bracelets, handprint easter baskets, bunny containers & coloring pages were enjoyed by all. And let’s not forget the tremendous easter egg hunt which took place with well-hidden eggs throughout the lobby, gameroom, racquetball court and child’s playroom. The Easter Bunny stopped by to visit during this time causing much excitement!
With the warm weather comes many projects throughout the property. Our groundskeeping department is working hard to clean up after the winter thaw, plan landscaping and prepare our paddleboats for guests' use. Our activity center maintenance crew is busy preparing to open the outdoor pool and pool deck area. There are many more projects to prepare for the spring/summer season ahead. We look forward to welcoming you on your next visit to Tamarack!
Tammy Bolstad, resort manager, received a very thoughtful letter from Nick Battilana, the Wish Fulfillment Coordinator form The Granted Wish Foundation on behalf of the Pennington family who stayed with us in April.

The Granted Wish Foundation would like to thank you for your generous donation of lodging, waterpark tickets and food for Jaime Pennington in April 2011. Your kindness and generosity will enable us to continue granting wishes for disabled and disadvantaged individuals and families. I personally would like to thank you for remembering Granted Wish through tough times with the economy. It is so pleasing to know there are such kind and generous people who think of others. Tamarack Resort had the pleasure of having the Pennington family stay with us in March. The Pennington's stay was arranged through the The Granted Wish Foundation based out of Canton, Ohio, and grants wishes to individuals of all ages. It's not just for the young, disabled or terminally ill. It's for anybody who deserves a wish. Jamie Pennington and her family have vacationed at Tamarack Resort in the past and after many doctor visits related to her terminal illness, requested a family vacation back to our resort. Tammy Bolstad, General Manager, received the request at the end of 2010 and worked diligently with the foundation to ensure Jamie's wish came true. The family has valued memories of their past vacations with us and the entire staff felt honored they chose our location to continue those memories. In the spirit of the season, Tamarack Resorts staff has adopted a family for the holiday. Monetary donations are continuously being received from staff members so we may provide this local family with a holiday meal and gifts for all family members. “Only in giving do we truly receive.”
We are pleased to announce in November our Resort Manager Tammy Bolstad was contacted by the Make A Wish Foundation in regards to a family who selected our resort as their vacation request. This family visited our location a few years past and were extremely pleased with the experience they had. We will be honoured to have them as our guests in January and will be reaching above and beyond to provide this family with vacation memories that will last a lifetime.

July 2010 Resort News We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our Lemonade Stand on June 11 - 13 in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. To date we have raised $470.85 that will go towards finding a cure for childhood cancer. We had the opportunity to not only offer lemonade in a variety of flavors but also yummy baked goods, silent auction items and paper lemons for $1. Our onsite housekeeping department also assisted with holding their own mini-stand in the linen exchange department contributing yummy baked goods and preserves for the cause. We raised a total of $470.85. The feedback was amazing from guests and owners who were willing to assist us with this cause. We are appreciative of all guests and owners who we were able to inform about Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and hope we have encouraged them in future participation. Fall 2009 Resort Activities
The Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac is a delightful vineyard with a fascinating history that goes back more than 150 years. The winery has several holiday events planned including a tasting that pairs wine with Thanksgiving dishes on Nov. 21, and A Vintage Christmas with tastings, tours and contests throughout the day on Nov. 28. As the front desk for more information about visiting this fabulous local winery! The Riverside & Great Northern Railway is switching gears from the Pumpkin Train to the Santa Train! Nov. 27-29 and Dec. 5-6 you can bring the little ones to make their gift requests directly to Santa. The whole family will enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout the train ride, and the gift shop offers special discount during Santa Train times.
